A serious tournament, run the right way.

The Berkshires Cup is a 7-a-side outdoor soccer tournament bringing together competitive teams from across the region. The format is structured, the officiating is real, and the competition is the point.

We are pulling teams from the Berkshires, the Pioneer Valley, the Capital Region, and beyond. You will not know every team on that field. That is exactly the idea.

Hosted by the Dr. Deborah Salmon Foundation. Proceeds support the DSF Scholarship Program and community initiatives. Spots are limited to 10 teams and will go fast.

Tournament format

Two days of competition, structured to give every team a full day of play before the stakes go up.

Pool Play — Day 1
All 10 teams divided into two pools of 5. Every team plays four games. Points are tracked: 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
Knockout Rounds — Day 2
Top teams from each pool advance to single-elimination semifinals, then a championship final. One day, everything on the line.
Rules & Eligibility
Open to adult players (18+). Teams must carry 7–10 players on their roster. A certified referee oversees every match. Full rules apply.

Built for teams that actually want to compete.

This is not a pickup game or a neighborhood kickaround. We are recruiting competitive sides from across western Massachusetts, the Capital Region, the Pioneer Valley, and greater Boston. The field will have teams that can play. Come ready.

College & University Clubs
Club programs from UMass, Williams, Amherst, Albany, BC, BU, and beyond. If your squad has been playing together all season, this is where you find out how you stack up.
High School Alumni & Youth
Reassemble the crew. If your group has history on the field and still wants to compete, this is the tournament to do it in.
Adult Leagues & Community Teams
Rec league vets, co-workers who take it seriously, community sides that have been grinding all summer. If you have a squad and seven players, enter.

$1,500 per team.
Here is what that means.

Split across 7–10 players, your entry covers a full tournament experience and puts real money toward a cause worth competing for.

Custom Tournament Jersey
Every player on your roster receives a Berkshires Cup 2026 jersey. Something to earn and keep. Not a participation trophy — a kit you played for.
Top Regional Competition
You are not playing against the same five teams from your Sunday league. We are pulling the best sides from across the Berkshires, Pioneer Valley, Capital Region, and beyond.
Organized, Officiated Matches
Certified referees run every game. Structured brackets, real scorekeeping, a proper schedule. This is a real tournament, run the right way.
Entry Fees Go Back to the Community
The tournament is hosted by the Dr. Deborah Salmon Foundation. Every dollar goes toward the DSF Scholarship Program and community initiatives. You get a great tournament. Students get funded.
